Peer Review #3 – American Literature

Hi Prarthana,
I just wanted to commend you on your honesty in this post. I understand what you mean about poetry sometimes being an `indulgence’. At times, poets can be a little too smart for their own good and hide what they are trying to convey in the words. That’s the beauty of poetry- like art, sometimes what we see and what the artist is wanting to reveal are two different things. As you mention, there is wisdom to be found in all forms of literature. Don’t be afraid to explore and find your interpretations. The Kaur poem you have included in your post is indeed short but powerful. I am glad that it gives your strength when you need it.
